Design for real-world

I’m Lisa Lang, a Copenhagen-based graphic designer with 20 years of experience in visual communication, branding, digital design and reporting.

I work with companies, organisations and communication teams to turn complex subjects into clear, engaging design. My experience spans everything from corporate communication and sustainability to campaigns, websites, reports and visual identities.

Experience and perspective

Over the years, I have worked across sectors including shipping, finance, energy, infrastructure, healthcare and NGOs. I enjoy getting close to the subject, understanding what matters and finding a visual direction that feels relevant to both the organisation and its audience.

What drives me

I’m interested in finding what is distinctive in a brand, organisation or subject and using that as the starting point for design. I value clarity, strong ideas and communication that works across real needs, audiences and formats.

A design career shaped by communication

Brand & corporate identity
2006-2011

This is where I built my foundation in identity and branding, learning to look for what is distinctive and use it as the starting point for a clear and distinctive visual direction.

Sustainability design & communication
2012–2018

Sustainability became both a professional focus and a personal motivation, opening up a world of visual communication, innovation and new technologies connected to ideas with a wider purpose.

Independent design partner
2018-today

Working independently has brought me closer to my clients and their realities, allowing me to combine different parts of my experience depending on the project, from branding and digital design to sustainability, innovation and new technologies.

Curious by nature

Originally from Sweden, I have lived and worked in Copenhagen for more than 20 years. That Nordic perspective, together with many years of international collaboration, has shaped the way I work: open, pragmatic and curious.

For me, good design is about making complex subjects easier to understand and important messages more meaningful.
